Jason & Neeta
We feel so blessed to have this opportunity to share our story with you through our profile! It is our greatest dream to share our lives, our joy, and our love with a child. Choosing us to be your child's adoptive parents would be the most wonderful gift we could ever receive. We appreciate your time in reading our profile, and we hope that you will consider us!
Our Lifestyle

We pride ourselves on being a well-rounded couple. In this day and age of technology, where seemingly everything is at your fingertips, we have a healthy mix of activities, from taking a scenic hike outdoors to simply playing some corn hole in our backyard. As we both work in the information technology field, we understand the importance of not staring at our computer screens all day long. We think it is important for a child to have that same, healthy mix of indoor (TV, reading, computer) vs outdoor (playing with friends, recreational clubs, etc…) activities. We believe that social interaction with others must be balanced with the amount of solitary, independent activities that a child engages in.
We are fortunate to both have work-from-home flexibility with our companies (Neeta in Information Security and Jason in Digital Marketing), along with support from our close family/friends. Our home promises to be no stranger to an active lifestyle! Neeta will start off her morning with a yoga session, while Jason is out for his morning run. After our work is done, we both love to connect to see how each other's day went, relying on each other for emotional support. During the warm season, we'll take a walk around our great neighborhood (where we probably have to stop several times so Jason can pet the neighbors' dogs) as a way to finish out the day.
Our Leisure Time

We are both avid travelers. Whether it's vacationing in Bali or Singapore, or hiking through Yellowstone, we always look forward to exploring what this world has to offer. We also love cheering on our favorite baseball team the New York Mets at their home stadium each year. Jason is a frequent runner and has competed in several half-marathons as well as local community 5K races. Several of these races are "fun-runs" where parents jog with their children - this is something Jason really looks forward to doing one day with our own child! Neeta is an accomplished ballet dancer and has performed in front of audiences while also choreographing dances for kids who aspire to be professional dancers when they grow up. Jason also gives back to the community as he volunteers at local dog shelters. During our downtime, we both like to cozy up and read our books with a side of hot cocoa! Some of Jason's favorite books are the ones he shares with his dad, such as Nordic mystery novels. With our child, we look forward to playing on the new backyard swing set we're building, enjoying game night with our close circle of family and friends (we love Monopoly and Candyland!), or taking a nice family stroll around our local beach and lake. We can't wait to share all of these experiences with a child one day!
Qualities We Admire in Each Other

What we love about our relationship is that it is founded on open, honest communication, and we are both determined to work as a team through any problems and major life goals. One thing we were happy to learn about each other early on is that we are both kids at heart and enjoy everything Disney and Star Wars:) We also have a mutual respect for all the ways we are completely different from each other. For example, while Jason has an amazing talent for envisioning and planning for the future, Neeta embraces spontaneity and finds joy in the moment. The saying "opposites attract" certainly applies to us!
Neeta has always admired how focused and disciplined Jason is in all aspects of his life, from striving for excellence at work, to staying healthy through his running routine, to managing our house and finances. Jason is whole-heartedly committed to the people he loves, and he makes every effort to support our circle of family and friends. Jason admires Neeta's devotion to her family and friends, her passion for the arts, and her leadership at work. Neeta has an ability to stay calm in stressful moments, and this complements Jason's ability to take action quickly to overcome any challenges we face.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a beautiful suburban town in Connecticut. Our house is spacious with two stories, a finished basement/playroom, and an elevated deck where we like to garden, grill, or even do yoga outside on nice days. Because our house is on a cul-de-sac away from any busy streets, it's a safe place for children to play. We are on friendly terms with all of our neighbors on our street, and we often see our neighbors' children riding their bikes and playing basketball right outside. We have a large yard where we'll often play games like corn hole, badminton, or catch.
What we love about our town is that it is family-friendly with convenience to beaches, parks, shopping centers, and proximity to some of the best schools and universities in the state. It is located less than an hour away from both Neeta's and Jason's families. Our town and surrounding areas host fun and unique events such as scavenger hunts, corn mazes during Halloween, and community races which Jason participates in. There is a lively arts culture with performances all year round, including events at the community center where Neeta teaches dance. We live only minutes away from the Discovery Museum and Adventure Park where kids can visit a planetarium and experience climbing adventures outdoors. The convenience of having an amazing city like New York only an hour train ride away has been fantastic as we do like to attend Broadway show or music concert occasionally.
Our Extended Families

We greatly value spending time with our families. Because they live nearby, we're fortunate to visit each other often. Neeta's mom teaches a weekly tai chi class which Neeta enjoys participating in when she can. There's no shortage of games we all love to play - most recently we've become obsessed with "Monopoly: The Card Game!" Neeta's dad loves to watch throwback sitcoms like "The Golden Girls." When we visit, he catches us up on the latest news and cracks jokes to make us laugh. Jason's parents are both retired, and during our visits, Jason and his dad love sharing books, especially Nordic mystery novels. Jason's mom makes the most authentic Korean dishes that we always look forward to eating, and her furry friend Bella is always by her side. Jason's sister Amy works as a school counselor, and her and her husband have two children (recently welcomed their first daughter into the world last year!) along with their dog, Kumo. We never miss a birthday or major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving) together. Both our families like to travel. Neeta and her mom recently visited family in Belgium, while Jason's family likes to take the occasional getaway to a local spot (cabin in Connecticut or AirBnB in Rhode Island) where we'll toast marshmallows outside after a day of hiking. We are very fortunate that both of our families are always there for us, and have already promised to support the child we bring into our lives.

From Us to You

Since we got married four years ago, we have been taking steps support our dream to raise a child, including finding a comfortable spacious house in a safe neighborhood with an excellent educational system, and maintaining a close-knit support system of family and friends. We went through the emotional journey of several fertility treatments in an attempt to have a biological child. We know that we will treasure a child with all our hearts, no matter how he or she comes into our lives. We believe adoption is the path we were meant to take, and this opportunity to bring your child into our home is a blessing that we appreciate from the bottom of our hearts. There is so much we look forward to, such as reading to a child every night, engaging him or her in sports or artistic activities, having play dates with Jason's sister's two kids, traveling the world to show him or her how other cultures live, and nurturing any talents or gifts that he or she possesses.
As a couple, we've learned over the years that we are each other's better half - it's our differences and our ability to have open, honest communication that creates a healthy relationship. We know we will accept every aspect of our child's personality as well, and we would ensure that the child in our lives always has an open line of communication with us. We lead active, healthy lifestyles and we strive to find the balance between working hard and having fun. Professionally, we are both in technology fields and are fortunate to have the flexibility to work from home. Also, having lived abroad in Spain and Japan, Jason has a deep appreciation for world culture and travel. Through volunteering, both of us give back to our community in different ways - Jason volunteers at animal shelters and Neeta teaches dance to children. We've chosen paths in life that allow us to stay true to who we are, and we would guide your child to do the same.
Both of us are spiritual people with strong moral values. As part of her Buddhist practice, Neeta prays every day for the happiness of her loved ones and for the wisdom and courage to overcome any difficult challenges. Jason comes from a Catholic background and expresses his spirituality through his deep compassion for all living beings, and through his strong work ethic, and his desire to create an even better future for his family. Together we believe in treating every human being with respect, non-judgement, and kindness. We also believe in choosing your battles and standing up for yourself when needed. There is so much we can teach a child about navigating this very complex world, finding the beauty in it, and leading a productive, joyful life.
Throughout this adoption journey, we do hope we can alleviate any doubts you may have and make you feel comfortable about what wonderful parents we will be. We understand that our relationship with you may evolve over the years, and our intent is to continue sharing photos and memories of significant moments or milestones in your child's life. We are open to making arrangements to meet when the time is right for all of us. We also promise to speak of you with respect and in the most positive light so that your child knows how much you care about his or her well-being. It is our intention to be transparent with your child about his or her relationship to you, and we would make every effort to share his or her adoptive story in the most nurturing way possible.
We have so much love to share, and we would be so excited to create a forever home for your baby as a part of our family. We feel truly blessed and appreciative that you would consider us, and whether or not you choose us to be a part of your journey, you are in our prayers. We respect that this is a difficult and emotional process for you, and we admire your courage in making this decision. Most of all, we truly wish for yours and your baby's health and happiness.
