Our Lifestyle

On the Golf Course

We love spending time together and making the most of both everyday moments and new adventures. Our life is centered around family, laughter, and appreciating the time we share with the people we love. Whether we're playing golf, cooking a new recipe, exploring somewhere new, or traveling together, we enjoy making the most of every opportunity to create lasting memories. Meshach has a wonderful sense of humor and is always making us laugh, while Emily loves tackling a new craft project or finding creative ways to make our house feel like home. Of course, Carmen is never far away when we're cooking, always hoping for a small treat! Some of our favorite weekends are spent at the lake with our family. We enjoy being outdoors, relaxing by the water, and making memories we will cherish for years to come. We can't wait to share these traditions with our child—whether we're out on the boat, fishing, swimming, cooking together, or simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon by the lake. Lake weekends are always filled with laughter, good food, and time spent with the people we love. While we love trying new things, we also treasure the simple moments that make a house feel like home: sharing dinner around the table, laughing over a board game, reading together, or enjoying a cozy day at home. Our hope is to give our child a childhood filled with love, encouragement, curiosity, adventure, and a deep sense of family.

Our Pet

Emily with Carmen

Our dog, Carmen, is a cherished part of our family and brings so much joy to our home. She has a sweet, gentle personality and loves being around people, especially children. Whether she is following us from room to room, relaxing while we read a book, or happily joining us for walks around the neighborhood, she always reminds us to enjoy the little moments together.

We often laugh at her playful personality, and she has a wonderful way of making every day a little brighter. We look forward to watching a child grow up with Carmen by their side—playing in the backyard, going on family walks, and sharing countless adventures together.

We know she will be a loyal companion and a comforting friend as our family grows.

What it Means to be Parents

Emily with Her Niece at the Lake

To us, being parents means showing up every day with love, patience, and encouragement. It means celebrating milestones, offering comfort during difficult moments, and helping a child discover who they are. While we look forward to the big moments—birthdays, holidays, vacations, and school events—we are just as excited for the everyday moments that make up family life. We can't wait to share breakfast before school, read bedtime stories each night, hear little footsteps running through the house, listen to their laughter and endless questions, and cheer from the sidelines as they discover the activities they love.

We hope our home is a place where our child always feels safe, heard, and deeply loved. We want them to know they can come to us with anything, confident they will always be met with kindness, understanding, and support. Our greatest hope is to raise a child who is confident, compassionate, curious, and secure in the knowledge that they are loved unconditionally. Becoming parents is the dream of our hearts, and we would be honored to walk alongside our child through every stage of life.

Our Extended Families

Family Tailgate

Family is at the heart of our lives, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who love, encourage, and support us. We cherish the time we spend together, whether we're sharing a home-cooked meal, playing board games, laughing over a friendly card game, or simply catching up. Throughout the year, we look forward to celebrating birthdays, cooking together during the holidays, and finding any excuse to gather, create memories, and enjoy one another's company.

Happy Easter!

One of our favorite traditions is picking out our Christmas tree each year. We head to a local tree farm, stroll through the rows of evergreens, and take our time finding the perfect tree. Of course, our dog, Carmen, comes along too! It's a simple tradition that brings us so much joy, and we can't wait to experience it through the eyes of a child and create even more treasured memories together.

Our family is incredibly excited to welcome a child and embrace them with open arms. We are fortunate to have both family and close friends nearby who are eager to be part of our child's life, filling it with love, laughter, and encouragement. They have supported us every step of our adoption journey, sharing in our hopes and celebrating each milestone along the way. We know a child will always be surrounded by unconditional love, unwavering support, and a deep sense of belonging.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in Ohio in a warm, family-friendly neighborhood where children are always outside playing, neighbors wave as they pass by, and there is a true sense of community. Throughout the year, our neighborhood hosts fun events like an Easter egg hunt, a Memorial Day parade, and a Fall Festival. We love that there are so many opportunities for families to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories. There are also several families with young children on our street, and we look forward to watching our child grow up alongside neighborhood friends while attending the same school district. Our home is a traditional four-bedroom colonial with plenty of space to learn, play, and make memories. One of our favorite places is the living room, where we enjoy relaxing after a busy day. We also spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking meals and trying new recipes. Outside, our backyard and front porch are perfect places for blowing bubbles, playing games, and enjoying warm summer evenings. Just a short walk from our home is a beautiful neighborhood park with a playground, open green space, and a community pool. We often take our dog, Carmen, for walks there and can't wait for the day we can watch our child laugh, explore, and make new friends. We are also fortunate to have an excellent library just a short walk away, offering story times, activities, and programs for children throughout the year. We feel incredibly grateful to call this community home and are excited to share it with a growing family.

From Us to You

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us and for allowing us to share a little bit about our lives, our hopes, and our hearts with you. We can only imagine the many emotions that come with making such an important and deeply personal decision. We want you to know that we have tremendous respect for the love, strength, and courage it takes to consider adoption. The thought and care you are putting into this decision says so much about the love you already have for your child.

As you read our profile, we hope you feel the warmth, love, and support that surround our family. We are grateful for the opportunity to be considered as part of your journey, and we do not take that opportunity lightly. We know adoption is built on trust, and we would be honored to build a relationship with you based on honesty, respect, and compassion.

If you choose to place your trust in us, we promise to provide your child with a home filled with love, laughter, encouragement, and unwavering support. We dream of sharing the everyday moments of life with them—the bedtime stories, family dinners, holiday traditions, learning new things together, and all the little moments that make a family special. We also look forward to celebrating the big milestones, from birthdays and graduations to vacations and all the moments that help shape the incredible person they will become.

Most importantly, we want your child to always know how deeply loved they are. We want them to understand that their story began with love and that adoption is a meaningful part of who they are. We will honor their story, celebrate their birth family, and help them grow up knowing where they came from and how much care surrounded the journey that brought our family together.

We are also committed to celebrating and respecting your child's heritage and culture. We both come from backgrounds that have taught us the importance of family, traditions, and staying connected to our roots. We will continue learning, growing, and creating opportunities for our child to understand and celebrate their own unique identity. Their culture, experiences, and story will always have a place in our home.

As parents, we hope to raise a child who knows kindness, compassion, confidence, and respect. We want to encourage their dreams, support their interests, and help them discover the things that make them happy. Whether they are learning a new skill, exploring the world around them, spending time with family, or simply being themselves, we want them to always know they have a home where they are accepted and loved unconditionally.

We hope our child grows up surrounded by people who love them, including family and friends who are excited to welcome them into our lives. We also hope to continue building a relationship with you, if that is something you desire, so your child grows up knowing the love and care that surrounded them from the very beginning. We look forward to creating memories together, from quiet weekends at home to adventures and traditions we build as a family.

Thank you again for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us as part of this important journey. We recognize the significance of the choice you are making, and we hold so much respect for you. Please know that we are thinking of you, wishing you peace and strength, and hoping you feel supported and cared for throughout this process.

With sincere gratitude,

Meshach & Emily
