Eric & Steven
Adoption, to us, is an incredibly brave act of love and courage, and we're so grateful to you for taking the time to get to know us. We're Steven and Eric, from a diverse and welcoming town in New England. Traveling the world is one of our greatest joys, and we dream of sharing those adventures with our future child. Our big, loving family is ready to welcome a baby with open hearts.
Our Favorite Vacation Spot

One of the great passions the two of us share is being able to explore the world. So far we've been to fourteen countries together. We would love to be able to take our future child all over the world so that they may experience different cultures and ways of life. To broaden their horizons, and have a world outlook on life.

We want to take our child on relaxing trips in the Caribbean and Greece where they can play on the beach and swim. We want to take them on epic road trips through the highlands of Scotland and the mountains of Colorado where they can run through the hills and enjoy the dramatic scenery. We want to take them to cities like Taipei and Tokyo where they can try new cuisines and play in arcades and karaoke booths.
Their education will come first always, but there's more to life than book smarts. We hope to be able to give this child real world experiences that they can carry with them for the rest of their life.
Our Leisure Time

Steven has a love of baking. Since he was a child he spent Sunday mornings with his grandpa making corn muffins and eating them together with syrup. From his mom he learned to make a family cheesecake recipe. Every year on his sisters and his birthday she would make a delicious homemade cake. Teaching our own child how to bake and making them treats is something Steven is looking forward to. Steven also enjoys spending time with friends and family, going hiking, and trying new restaurants. He has a love of reading fiction novels and can't wait to read to his future child.

Stevens's parents also love camping, so during the summer months we all head down to the beach when we feel up to it, and spend lazy days at their campsite. Their trailer is only a few minutes' walk to the beach so our future child will have lots of time to spend playing outdoors in the summer.
Eric loves going into the city. Since we live in New England we are close to both Boston, and New York City. When we feel like a more urban outing we'll head to the city for a weekend. You can usually find us shopping, or watching a Broadway play. We want our future child to have multicultural experiences and we think that frequent cities visits are a fun way to break up the more laid back suburban living that we'll have regularly.
Qualities We Admire in Each Other

Steven About Eric: Eric is the most goal orientated person I have met. He is consistently achieving something, whether it be a new job or a work promotion. He inspires me to work harder. He also has a sense of adventure that keeps him active and on the go in his personal life. When he was in his teens, after graduating high school he decided to postpone college and instead spent two years backpacking across Australia. These ended up being some of his most favorite memories, and it benefited him more than sitting in a classroom would have at the time.
Eric About Steven: Steven is empathetic and has a more go with the flow attitude and is able to relax me when I get stressed. He's always willing to listen to me talk about my day to day work problems and is a comforting person. He's a goofy guy that keeps me grounded, and makes me laugh.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a bright, cozy two-story apartment in beautiful New England. Our home has five rooms, and our favorite is the living room, where we spend most of our time relaxing, watching movies, playing games, and just enjoying each other's company. It's filled with natural light, comfy seating, and personal touches from our travels and family.
Our neighborhood is safe, diverse, and family friendly, with lots of young families and kids riding bikes or playing outside after school. There's a beautiful park just a few minutes' walk away where children can enjoy the playground, splash pad, and open fields. In the summer, our town hosts outdoor concerts, local food festivals, and a farmers market, that are all fun ways to spend weekends.
We love how welcoming and supportive our community is, whether it's neighbors helping each other shovel snow in the winter or organizing block parties in the warmer months. It's a place where children grow up surrounded by kindness, laughter, and opportunity. We can't wait to raise a child here and share with them all the little joys that make this neighborhood feel like home.
Our Extended Families

We are lucky to have a big, fun, and supportive extended family who are all incredibly excited about our adoption journey. Our families may be loud and a little lively at times, but they're filled with love, laughter, and lots of food. When we all get together, especially during the holidays you'll usually find us playing board games, singing karaoke, and eating home cooked meals. One of our favorite family traditions is making dumplings together on Lunar New Year, and of course Christmas mornings filled with presents.

Steven's family lives nearby and often drops by for dinners or to take a neighborhood walk with our dog, Yusuke. His sister and her husband are in the beginning stages of planning for a baby as well, and we think it incredibly exciting to picture cousins of similar age growing up together.
Eric's family is spread out between the U.S. and Taiwan, but we stay close through video chats and travel. They're already talking about who gets to teach the baby Chinese first!
Our families are fully supportive of our plan to adopt and can't wait to welcome this child with open arms. They see adoption as a beautiful way to grow a family and have been cheering us on every step of the way. We know that this child will be surrounded by love, not only from us but from a whole circle of aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandparents who are ready to love and support them unconditionally.
From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and for considering us as potential parents for your child. We can only imagine the strength, courage, and love it takes to make such a decision, and we are deeply honored to be part of your journey, even if just for a moment. We hope this letter gives you a genuine glimpse into who we are, the life we live, and the love we have to give.
We are Steven and Eric, a married couple living in a warm, diverse town in New England. 2025 sees us celebrating eight years of marriage; of building a life filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unconditional love. We are truly best friends and partners in everything we do. Our relationship is rooted in honesty, support, and joy. We lift each other up during hard times and never take for granted the small, beautiful moments we share daily.
Our home is a two-story apartment filled with sunlight, music, and cozy corners. Our favorite room is the living room, where we play board games, relax after work, and cuddle with our dog Yusuke (Shiba Inu). We live in a family friendly neighborhood filled with parks, playgrounds, and friendly faces. There are always kids outside riding bikes, and our community hosts seasonal events like carnivals and farmers markets. It's the kind of place where a child can grow up safely, surrounded by love and opportunity.
One of our greatest joys as a couple is traveling. Together, we've visited fourteen countries, and we dream of sharing those experiences with our child one day. We want to raise a child who is curious about the world, open to all people, and confident in their identity. As a multicultural household, Steven is American, and Eric grew up in both Taiwan and the U.S. we believe deeply in embracing and celebrating differences.
Our extended families are just as excited about this journey as we are. From grandparents to cousins, our big, slightly silly, but incredibly loving family can't wait to welcome a child into the fold. We have traditions that range from making dumplings for Lunar New Year to hosting game nights during the holidays, and we look forward to centering this child into every celebration, every memory, and every family moment.
We want you to know that your child will always know where they came from and how deeply they were loved from the very beginning. We are committed to sharing letters and pictures with you as your child grows. If you're open to it, we'd love to stay connected through emails, phone calls, or even visits. We will respect whatever level of contact feels right for you.
More than anything, we promise to give this child a life full of love, support, and joy. We will nurture their unique personality, encourage their passions, and provide a safe space for them to grow into who they are meant to be. We will laugh with them, guide them, protect them, and cheer them on every step of the way. We will show them all the good the world has to offer, while also preparing them to confidently face the worst of it.
If you choose us, we will carry that trust with humility and honor. Your strength will always be part of their story, and part of our family's heart.
With love and respect,
Eric & Steven
