Jason & Sara
Hi, we are Jason and Sara! We deeply believe adoption is an incredible act of love, and we are honored you are taking time to learn about us. Our home is full of laughter, warmth, and unwavering support. We are excited to grow our family and share our lives with a child. Thank you for considering us, we can't wait for the journey ahead and the chance to build a connection with you.
What It Means to Become Parents

Becoming parents means raising a beautiful human being and having the privilege to grow alongside them. We're excited not just for the big milestones, but for the everyday moments. Watching their personality take shape, learning what makes them laugh, and supporting them as they discover what they love and who they want to be.
We want to give a child a fair and balanced life. Not one filled with constant indulgence, and not one where they go without, but a life with the tools, love, and stability they need to create something meaningful for themselves. We see our role as guides and supporters, giving them a strong foundation while allowing space for independence and exploration.
The values we hope to pass down are simple but important: be fair and kind. Help people when they are struggling. Stay curious, ask questions, and never stop learning. Explore, create, and lead with love. We want this child to grow up with confidence, compassion, and a strong sense of self, knowing they are unconditionally loved and supported every step of the way.
Our Lifestyle

At home, we love to keep things cozy and fun. We often make coffee together in the morning and end our evenings around a fire in the backyard. Reality TV is our guilty pleasure (we will admit it) and we balance that out with documentaries. Sara loves practicing yoga and meditation, while Jason is always experimenting in the kitchen with things like dry aging beef, fermenting, and making kombucha. We play Yahtzee often, and some of our most playful nights are spent racing each other in Mario Kart or competing in Mario Party.
We both love sunshine and warm weather, which makes weekend getaways to Palm Springs or Parker, Arizona especially fun. Sara soaks up the sun, while Jason does his best to keep from burning but enjoys being there all the same. Every year we try to sneak away for at least one snow trip to Big Bear or Lake Tahoe. Whether it is a sunny poolside afternoon, a cozy fire at home, or a snowy weekend away, we find joy in being together and making memories.
Family and friends play a huge role in our lives. We are often gathering for pool parties, costume parties, or dinners where food is always at the center. With family, you will usually find us around the table trading stories, cracking jokes, and playing games like Clue.
A few fun facts: Jason has a gold tooth thanks to a bachelor party dare and a lost game of capture the flag. Sara is a big fan of comfort and nostalgia. She has watched Shrek dozens of times with Jason, and Elf is a Christmas staple. She even falls asleep to familiar favorites like Bob's Burgers or King of the Hill.
Our Pups, Leo & Lila

Our dogs, Leo and Lila, are an important part of our everyday life. They are not always allowed, but they love sneaking onto the bed to sleep with us. Leo, who we adopted in Costa Mesa, has a big underbite and won our hearts when he calmed down instantly in Sara's arms at the rescue center. Lila was rescued from Mexico and has shown such bravery since joining our family. She loves exploring the yard and gently catching lizards before letting them wriggle free. They bring us endless laughter and warmth.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a quiet, diverse neighborhood in Southern California, tucked into a little suburban loop that's perfect for evening walks and trick-or-treating. Kids play basketball in the street, neighbors wave hello, and it's the kind of place where people stop to chat while walking their dogs. It's peaceful but full of life, and we love it here.
Our home has two bedrooms, but the living room is our favorite place to be. We spend time on the couch with our dogs, Leo and Lila, watching a show together after dinner. We've put a lot of love into our backyard too. With help from Sara's dad, we built a pergola and landscaped the yard, which now has a baby olive tree, herbs, and a beautiful view of San Diego in the distance. Jason loves to smoke brisket on the weekends while we tend to the garden or hang out with friends and family.
We're close to so much: parks, hiking trails, farmers markets, SeaWorld, Legoland, and Christmas Card Lane, where the whole street lights up with decorations. Our community also celebrates events like Diwali and neighborhood garage sales. The area is full of cultures, families, and friendly faces, and we can easily picture a child joining the other kids on bikes or in impromptu games on the block.
This is a neighborhood where a child can really grow, surrounded by nature, community, and a whole lot of love.
Our Extended Families

We're incredibly fortunate to have close-knit families who are not only nearby but fully supportive of our adoption journey. Sara's parents live just down the street and are a big part of our daily life. They run a kitchen and bath remodeling company and love helping us with home projects. We've been updating our house together since buying it in 2021. Sara's brother Ryan and his husband Riley live just 15 minutes away and are always hosting something fun, like game nights, cookouts, or themed dinners with way too much good food.

Jason's family is an hour away in Orange County. His mom still lives in the house he grew up in and loves coming down to shop for fun plants and help refresh the garden. His sister Patricia is Leo and Lila's favorite babysitter (our two chihuahua mixes), and his younger brother John and older brother Travis never turn down a game night.
Most of our time together is spent at home, sharing a meal, catching up in the kitchen, and ending the evening with a game or two. Whether it's Yahtzee, Telestrations, or just swapping stories around the table, we always end up laughing and lingering longer than planned. It's casual, a little loud, and always full of love. It's the kind of environment we can't wait to share with a child.
Our extended families are also a meaningful part of our lives. We'd need more space to share all the love and support they bring!
From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We know this is a deeply personal and emotional decision, and we want you to know how much we admire your courage and strength. We cannot begin to imagine all that you are feeling in this moment, but we want to meet you with compassion, respect, and gratitude.
We are Jason and Sara, and we have been married for five years. We first connected through a dating app, and from our very first conversation it felt easy and natural, like we had known each other forever. Our marriage is built on a foundation of trust, laughter, and shared values. We both believe that love is expressed not just in words, but in the everyday ways we show up for each other: cooking meals together, tackling home projects side by side, supporting one another through hard times, and celebrating life's joys, both big and small. We are excited to extend that love to a child and to grow our family through adoption.
From early in our relationship, we knew we wanted children. Adoption has always been a part of our conversations and our vision for family. Jason's closest friend was adopted and hearing how love and stability shaped his life left a lasting impression. Sara is a Pediatric nurse and has been fortunate to walk alongside families of all kinds, including those built through adoption. These personal connections have shown us how adoption can be a beautiful expression of love.
We live in San Diego in a home filled with warmth, music, and the smell of homecooked meals. Our neighborhood is family-friendly, with nearby parks, great schools, and lots of children running around outside. We love to spend our evenings cooking together, relaxing in the backyard, or walking our dogs. Weekends often include hosting friends and family for meals, hiking nearby trails, or spending time with Sara's family who live just down the street. Jason's family is only about an hour away, so we are blessed to be surrounded by a close network of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who are eager to welcome a child with open arms.
If you choose us, your child will grow up in a safe and loving home, surrounded by people who will cherish them. We promise to nurture them with patience, joy, and encouragement, helping them grow into whoever they are meant to be. Education, creativity, and kindness are values we hold close, and we will make sure your child always knows they are loved unconditionally.
We also want to honor you and the important role you will always hold in your child's life. We promise to send letters and pictures to you, sharing milestones and everyday moments as your child grows. We are also open to more contact, whether through emails, phone calls, or visits, if that is something you would like. We believe it is important for a child to understand where they come from and to feel connected to their story, and we want to create space for that in whatever way feels right for you.
We know that no letter can fully capture who we are, but we hope you can see that our hearts are open, our marriage is strong, and our desire to parent through adoption is deeply rooted in love and respect. More than anything, we want to reassure you that your child will always know how loved they are, by us, by our families, and by you.
Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We would be honored to walk this journey with you and to build a relationship based on trust, openness, and care.
With love and gratitude,
Jason & Sara
